Transparent Solar Cell Breakthrough

ABC News' "Now" reported today on electricity-generating organic polymer solar cells developed by Yang Yang, professor of materials science and engineering at the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science and a member of the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) at UCLA, and colleagues. Yang and Paul Weiss, UCLA's Fred Kavli Professor of Nanosystems Sciences and director of the CNSI, were interviewed.

 

Energy Efficiency and the Smart Grid

An article in Monday's Ventura County Star about an upcoming energy efficiency symposium highlighted "smart-grid" research by Rajit Gadh, professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering at the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science and director of UCLA's Smart Grid Energy Research Center. Gadh was quoted.
